"Metal" Statue With light

Hi, I have this statue of a lady and cannot find anything about its origin. I found this site while searching and founs a bronze in sort of the same style. I am looking for the background and maybe a value. I picked it up at an local auction and really just fell in love with it. It looks as though it may have come from a hotel entrance or atrium. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey John,

That's a great statue, it depicts a flapper, and the first thing you have to do, is find out if it's a period piece, or a reproduction. Also, you'll want to know if it's solid bronze or bronze plated. Likewise for brass. To do that take a magnet to it, if the magnet sticks it's not solid bronze or brass, and likely a repro.

In any event, it's got value, but you need to determine it's age.

Hi All,
Sorry for the delay. I tested it with a magnet and it does not stick. I have looked all over this and cannot find any markings. I am at a loss as to where to look next. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
